I wasn’t a cookie cutter kid growing up. Instead of participating in normal stuff like baseball and football like all the other guys, I pestered dad to take me to the lake. Growing up in East Texas in the trophy bucketmouth bass mecca, I managed to pick up that “fishiness” that would later on help me grow as a guide.

When I moved to Arkansas for a change of scenery (and college), I realized that a fly rod was also a great tool for putting fish in the boat. I managed to pull off a business economics degree in less than 5 years, but probably logged enough time on the water in those years for a doctorate in fly fishing.  With fears of a job in an office, and possibly without a window, I made the decision to go head first into the guiding game.

I have spent some time guiding in Alaska, in addition to where I call home here in Arkansas. Most folks have heard of the White River and the stories of the monster trout that reside here. The White River and Norfork River are a unique system that truly does offer something for every angler. Whether you want to catch big numbers of trout, cast streamers the size of a tube sock for that true trophy brown trout, or witness some of the best dry fly fishing of your life, Arkansas has it. I have a bag of tricks a country mile wide, that I keep adding to quicker than I can use them.
In addition to offering full service guide trips on the White and Norfork Rivers, I also encourage people to come experience the Ozark smallmouth bass fishing. Wild, ferocious smallies are abundant in nearly every trickle of water you come across, with more notable rivers such as the Kings, Buffalo, and Crooked Creek boasting some of the best fishing in the diamond state.
I enjoy guiding beginners and experienced anglers alike. Like I previously mentioned, these rivers offer just about everything for every angler. I don’t beat my chest when it comes to guiding, but would rather let the fishery do bragging. I am privileged to guide on such incredible fisheries that produce 365 days per year.

I work at McLellan’s Fly Shop when I am not on the river, who is the exclusive Scott Rods dealer in the area. Scott rods continue to perform day in and day out for me. These guys design rods for people who fish, not just the parking lot line tossers.  The S4s series is ideal for casting those giant, articulated streamers in high water, the S4 series perfect for tossing hopper dropper rigs along the banks, and the G2’s the top choice for nymphing technical runs where excellent mending is called for.

Chris Johnson has been fly fishing Central Texas for over 15 years and has spent countless hours scouting, researching, and fishing the rivers on which he now guides.  Chris grew up in Round Rock, Texas and cut his fly fishing teeth on the waters of Brushy Creek.  His home town had no fly shop, so after two years of guiding the area, Chris opened the doors to Round Rock’s first and only fly shop:  Living Waters Fly Fishing.  Living Waters is a full service fly shop that hosts Chris’ guide business and serves as a fly fishing education center to anglers of all ages.  Chris has guided over seven years and guides many hill country rivers including the Llano, San Gabriel, Colorado, Guadalupe, and Brushy Creek.  He is also a licensed guide in the state of Oklahoma and guides one of the state’s premiere trout tailwaters, the Lower Mountain Fork River.

Seeing that the Texas Hill Country has such a diverse range of fisheries, Chris’ Scott rod arsenal is equally as varied!  For his home water, Brushy Creek, he primarily casts a 602/3 F2.  Fiberglass possesses the wonderful ability to load and cast in extremely tight places, making the F2 an ideal choice for this challenging fishery.  For the Llano, San Gabriel, and Guadalupe River he prefers a 904/4 S4.  Although a 4wt. is considered a very light rod by most who fish the area, the faster action of the S4 allows it to throw most everything is a Central Texas river fly box!  For larger flies and bigger rivers, such as the Colorado, Chris uses the 906/4 S4S.  This rod throws bass bugs well and doubles nicely as a calm day redfish rod on the Texas coast.

I was born in Santa Rosa in 1972, and spent much of my boyhood fishing the fabled steelhead waters of the Northern California coast. It was a very humbling, and sometimes rewarding beginning to a lifetime of chasing these magnificent creatures. Steelhead, and the waters they return to, have occupied a large part of my brain for as long as I can remember.

For the last 15 years I have been a full-time fly fishing guide based in Redding, Ca. I spend about 200 days a year guiding the Trinity River, Upper & Lower Sac, Klamath, and the North Coast for trout & steelhead. I truly enjoy teaching others to fish, and I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of so many great fishing memories. As they say, the office doesn't suck!

I'm super excited to join the great people and fellow pro staff guides at Scott Fly Rods. Scott makes the best fly rods out there, and I won't fish with anything else. Hope to see you on the water!

A self-admitted steelhead junkie, Jeff Liskay has been chasing chrome for nearly four decades.   From his home base in northern Ohio, Liskay has fished across the entire Great Lakes and is now reaching into Alaska, Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia.  He is gaining recognition for his two-hand casting and fishing skills and is a regular on the Spey gathering circuit as both and observing and a presenter.

He spends the warmer months prowling Great Lakes shoreline areas chasing warm-water species on the fly, but as soon as the weather cools, steelhead take over.  Liskay gives many club and show programs, guides on Ohio’s Lake Erie tribs, and does many instructional programs.  He is a talented fly tier- his creations are generally simple, functional, fish catchers.

His favorite rods are the T3h 1357/4 with a 520 grain skagit or 400 grain scandi line and the S4S 9010/4 for working big water.

Fishing has always been in the blood of Ron while growing up in Wyoming.  In the early 80's as a youngster the fly fishing bug bit and Ron put away everything in favor of fly rods and started chasing trout around Wyoming.  Ron attended the University of Wyoming and graduated in 1995 with BS in Business Admin/Geography and then went back via the web in 2005 to get his MBA.  While in undergraduate studies, Ron moonlighted as a commercial tier to drum up enough money to buy equipment and "beverages" so he became pretty proficient at tying bugs that trout in the Platte River seemed to cherish.  After graduation Ron found himself back at the foot of the Wind River Mountains in the family business of retail (Wind River Outdoor Company) and ranching.  Recently, Ron relocated the guide service out to a stand-alone company called Wind River Troutfitters and is now the only Wyoming permitted outfitter on the Green River/Seedskadee National Wildlife Refuge.   The thrill of chasing trout - particularly native Cutts - is what drives Ron and he tries to get out as much as possible when not working with clients, working on the family ranch or chasing down his active family.  One thing is for sure, if you like hanging with guys that like talking trout then Ron is the guy you want to be around.  When he doesn't have a fly rod in his hand and all the other daily activities allow him to get away you can find him chasing birds with his dog or finding that perfect photo op around west-central Wyoming.  When in the Lander, WY area stop by Wind River Outdoor Company as you will probably find Ron working with clients and getting them outfitted to chase down the native trout of Wyoming!

My pursuit of fly fishing has brought me all around the country and has landed me here in the Pacific Northwest, which I now call my home.  Based out of Seattle, Washington, I am a full time guide, FFF certified casting instructor, and retail manager for Emerald Water Anglers.

Fly fishing plays a powerful role in my life. It is a vehicle for adventure and discovery - the medium through which I channel my emotions, creativity, and passion.  No matter how many times I pull on my waders and lace up my boots, the excitement never fades.  Each day begins with fresh anticipation and ends with new insights gained.  I am perpetually driven by the quest to discover what lies around the next bend, and like most anglers, my time on the water is never enough.

My constant pursuit of time on the water is what initially led me to guiding.  Since beginning my career as a guide, my passion for the sport of fly fishing has evolved in ways I could not have predicted.  After a short adjustment period, I quickly discovered that it didn’t matter to me whose hand was holding the rod.  The places and the fish are what originally captivated me about fly fishing.  And now, sharing this with others expands my perspective on the sport and elevates my own enjoyment on the water.

It is my goal as a guide, instructor, and Scott Pro Staff member to empower others with the tools necessary to make this sport their own.  Every angler holds their own unique perspective on life, and that perspective is manifest in how and why they fish.  As a professional, I offer a glimpse at what this sport means to me, and strive to help others discover what it means to them.

Fly fishing has been a passion and lifestyle for me since the age of 12. I started in the fishing business in 2002 as an instructor and sales person for the Silver Bow Fly Shop, Spokane's oldest fly shop. Just a couple years later I worked my way up to managing the fly shop, and in 2005 I got an opportunity to purchase the business, I was 23 years old at the time. I enjoy continuing to grow the business and have a built a guide service based on our fisheries of the Inland Northwest.

Often you can find me in the shop or teaching fly fishing lessons, and you will definitely see me on the water on my days off. I enjoy all aspects of fly fishing from trout fishing in rivers, to steelhead with Spey rods, and tropical saltwater fishing. One of the greatest parts of the sport to me is all the amazing places it can take you. I have spent time in Alaska, Bahamas, Belize, BC, and all over the West in pursuit of different species. Fly fishing never gets boring and you can always learn something new every time out.

I am particular about what brands we carry at the Silver Bow and believe that Scott Rods not only makes a great product, they stand behind it and are as passionate about their product and sport just as much as we are.

I was eleven when I cast my first fly rod on a family vacation to Yellowstone National Park, and when that sixteen-inch cutthroat sucked down my size twelve yellow Humpy, I was the one who got hooked!  I grew up in Russellville, Arkansas about an hour-and-a-half drive from the Little Red River, and that’s where I cut my teeth chasing Ozark tailwater trout—especially once I turned sixteen and could drive myself to the river!  After five years in New Mexico—ostensibly for college, but actually to fly fish—I moved back to Arkansas and managed a fly shop for three years before opening McLellan’s Fly Shop in Fayetteville in the spring of 2003.  Over the last eleven years, we’ve grown into a full-service fly shop offering a broad spectrum of fly tying and fly fishing classes, local guide trips as well as hosted trips to more exotic destinations.

Even before I started guiding and working in a fly shop, I’ve always been a huge fan of Scott Fly Rods.  Whether I was fishing the big Ozark tailwaters as a kid or the tiny headwater streams of the Jemez Mountains during my college years, Scott always had a rod perfectly matched to each type of fishing, and the same holds true today.

One of the things I love most about Arkansas is the sheer variety of fly fishing opportunities that the Natural State has to offer.  The five tailwaters of the White River System provide excellent year-round trout fishing, and whether I’m casting tiny midges with my G2 or chucking big, articulated streamers with the new Radian for trophy brown trout, Scott has a rod to cover all of the varied fishing conditions we face on our White River Tailwaters.  When I’m fishing our annual white bass and walleye run in the spring, the Scott L2H and T3H switch rods are perfect for covering the water.  When chasing schooling stripers on our big lakes, I pull an S4S out of my rod tube.  May through October we have excellent fishing for our native smallmouth bass, and my A4 McLellan’s Warm Water Special gets called into action, but if the bass bite slows, I’ll crack a beer, string up an F2 and have a blast with the bluegill!

There are of course a lot of good rods out there, but when a customer asks me which rods I prefer and fish personally—my answer is invariably and honestly “Scott!”

Catching my first fish on the fly, a sea run cutthroat, at the mouth of a small stream on Washington's Olympic Peninsula,  began a life long obsession with pursuing salt water game fish...with both feet on terra firma whenever possible.  Inevitably, my sights turned to warmer water and exotic species.  In 1995 I packed up my old Toyota truck and drove south until I ran out of land.  Fishing Southern Baja quickly became the focus of my life. By 2000 I was guiding fly anglers at the East Cape and before long I was a full time resident of Mexico. I was deep into an obsession that dominates my fishing to this day...hunting roosterfish from shore with the fly.

Many years and countless fish later...Scott fly rods remain a key component of my arsenal.  Here in Baja we tackle some of North America's toughest game fish.  Quality rods that can deliver quick, accurate casts in challenging conditions are absolutely mandatory.  Brutally strong fish and the caustic beach fishing environment will send lesser rods to the trash heap in a hurry.  Scott rods get the job done...day after day...season after season.

I grew up in Redding, California, learning to fly fish on the Sactamento river right in town. I began exploring all of the local waters including the Trinity, McCloud, Pit and many of the coastal rivers Bigfoot country has to offer. I worked with The Fly Shop for a few years, working both in the store and with their fishing schools, Fish Camps and Spey clinics. After making the gas guzzling trip to the Bend and Maupin area several times chasing Lower Deschutes Steelhead I decided to make the move and a few weeks later started calling Bend home.

I have been sharing my Fly Fishing passion for the better part of a decade, getting great satisfaction from teaching and guiding others. I enjoy all facets of this sport but fly tying, Spey casting and swinging flies for Steelhead monopolize most of my time. Come in and see me at Confluence Fly Shop for a Spey Casting lesson or Steelhead questions or book a trip with me through Deep Canyon Outfitters for Central Oregon trout and Steelhead.

Louis Gaudet, an avid angler, epitomizes passion for fly fishing.  Louis’ kinship with fishing began early, he was only six years old when his father introduced him to the concept of the fly.  As years passed, and his love for angling cemented itself in his life, Louis effortlessly pursued fly fishing.  His fly fishing pastime consequently led him to be frequenting the trout infested waters of the Farmington River in Connecticut.
As a prelude to teaching, Louis delivered fly casting lessons as an instructor at L.L. Bean.  He then commenced his guiding career, taking clients on trips along the Farmington River and also on the West and East branches of the Delaware River in New York.  Louis’ preferred rod for hooking trout in the Farmington and Delaware, is the Scott G2 9ft 4wt.
After growing up in Connecticut, and guiding other anglers amongst Northern waters for six years, Louis ventured south to Florida.  Louis currently operates a casting school at Harry Goode’s Outdoor Shop, located in Melbourne, Florida.  Louis’ casting school is authentic and comprehensive, as he teaches proper casting mechanics and enables his pupils to achieve their highest casting potential.
The artistic expression found amongst Louis as an angler, is suitably complimented by his creative and versatile fly tying skills.  Louis is a dedicated fly tier and creates flies applicable to both fresh and saltwater fishing.  When Louis is not teaching or tying flies, he can be found a midst the salt water looking to conquer the insatiable quest for Tarpon and Redfish using his Scott s4s 9ft 10wt or Radian 9ft 8wt.
And with each Tarpon and Redfish he hooks on a fly, Louis appreciates and acknowledges nature, which empowers and permits his love of fishing.  As a member of Trout Unlimited, a non-profit organization that focuses on trout and river restoration/conservation, Louis advocates for the environment so its resources can be protected.  Louis also unites locally with fellow anglers, as a member of the Backcountry Fly Fishing Association.

I grew up, as I’m sure many of us did, fishing salmon eggs from the bank with a spinning rod.  My grandparents had a cabin on a small reservoir near Mancos, Colorado, and every summer I spent countless hours there trying to catch my limit. I have not been back to that lake in many years.  I don’t own a single piece of conventional tackle.  The cabin was sold long ago.

But once I started fly fishing, I never looked back.

Chuck Rizuto gave me my first job on the San Juan River when I was seventeen.  After that first summer on the San Juan I began piecing together a college degree.  After graduating, I headed straight back to the river.  For the last fifteen years I have been guiding full time for Duranglers in SW Colorado.  From our shop in Durango we guide to too many places to mention here, but a few of my favorites are: the Rio Grande, San Juan, Piedra, Dolores and Pine rivers.

My wife, Sarah, and I live on a small farm just south of Durango.  When I’m not guiding or fishing one of the many great rivers in our area, I enjoy being at the farm with Sarah and our son, Gus.

P.S.,  here’s what I love to do: Fish for fish that won’t eat; watch a client’s Salmon Fly get crushed by a brown trout when I’m cranking on the oars; go steelheading; Catch-Kill-Eat Northern Pike; cast a two-hander; wet wade a high country stream; sight fish for big technical rainbows; see a rooster fish cruising the trough; streamer fish with my buddies; go on fishing trips and generally do anything that involves a mandatory end-o-the-day beer.

Oh, and of course, cast Scott rods!

Pat has been tying and fly fishing all over the US for over 40 years. His home waters are the upper Farmington River, New England’s premier trout stream, where he is known as the Zen master of nymphing. Pat began guiding as a young man on Vermont’s Battenkill River during summer breaks from teaching. His style developed over the years, heavily influenced by the methods of Joe Humphries and the tutelage of his mentor, Ross Marigold, the legendary guide on Montana’s Madison River.
Pat enjoys studying the entomology of the river, often inventing his own flies to match the hatch. A traditionalist, he believes that the classical casting techniques do not have to be made so difficult, but can be broken down into easily duplicative motions.  When repeated and finally perfected, they are then readily transferable to other fly fishing disciplines and variable stream conditions. A born teacher, Pat’s philosophy is that a client should end a day on the stream with increased knowledge of the strategy of fishing, a better ability to read the stream and current bug action, and improved technique – in short, a better fisherperson.
During the winter, Pat offers advanced fly tying classes at UpCountry Sportsfishing in New Hartford, CT www.farmingtonriver.com.He lives in Avon with his wife, Tess, an expert lawnchairer (who has agreed to write this in exchange for a spa day).

After college, I moved out west to the Roaring Fork Valley in pursuit of Colorado’s western rivers and a career in construction management.  After 5 years of grinding out the “normal life” and not getting time on the water, I decided that work and the stresses of construction were not all they were cracked up to be…

I’ve always had a severe addiction to fishing – it is the one thing that’s remained constant throughout my life.  Maybe it’s the pursuit of freedom or an unnerving sensation to understand what happens under the water – I’m not sure, but I’ve always been drawn to water. Before I got too deep into the restrictions of life, I decided to take a risk and follow my calling.
8 years later as the head fishing guide for Alpine Angling and Roaring Fork Anglers, I am a much happier person.  It has become a real passion to not only guide, but to teach and educate those about fly fishing.  Every day I launch my boat I try to provide the desired experience, all while limiting our impact to the resource.

After rowing many a river boats, I felt something wasn’t quite right…  I decided to put my design and metal fabrication background to work and created a river boat for the modern angler and guide alike – one that actually works.  Fly Raft Works was created in the pursuit of building the finest rowing and fly fishing rafts available today.  In 2009, Fly Raft Works was awarded the best new product of the year by the International Fly Fishing Retailer Show.  Fly Raft Works is still in operation and building custom boats to order.

In the meantime I have become a signature fly designer for Umpqua Feather Merchants as well as a member of the Hatch Outdoors Pro Staff.

In my spare time you can find me on the vise, hunting for carp, desperately awaiting my next trip to Baja, listening to west coast g-funk, building and testing new boat designs, or patiently waiting for summer.

My take on Scott fly rods:
I am stoked to be a part of an American fishing company that builds durable fly rods that are meant for the sole purpose of fishing.  I have always been a fan of Scott as a company and a rod manufacturer and I am proud to be a member of the family.

For him sight fishing is the ultimate game and most rewarding, there's no better feeling when an angler and guide work together to visually experience "The Eat"

In season you'll find him guiding up and down the North Shore of Long Island along with the North Fork and fall runs in Montauk. He also ventures with his clients to the lower main stem of the Delaware River and hosts trips during the winter months to South Andros Bahamas and Belize.

When not guiding he usually spends a good amount of time at the vise filling his fly boxes and if the sun is shining most likely stalking tailing carp in some crystal clear reservoir..

"I have always had a strong sense for adventure and deep love for nature. Fly Fishing is an ideal way for me to fulfill my love for the outdoors. My dad taught me the art of fly-fishing when I was very young.  We would wake up before the sunrise, load up the kayaks and head out to catch stripers and blues in Long Island Sound. Spending the mornings watching the sunrise while holding a striper, I realized that my dad was giving me a lifelong gift. My passion led me to many different rivers and streams throughout the east coast. I quickly became even more obsessed with fly-fishing while attending the University of Montana. When not in class I was always on the river, which led me to guiding. I guided on a variety of different rivers and creeks throughout Missoula, Bozeman and Glacier.  I’ve also been lucky enough to spend time on the serene flats of the Bahamas and Mexico. The feeling of standing on a flats boat in the tropics while casting to spooky bonefish is as good as it gets in my opinion."

"I moved to Washington to pursue my passion of fishing and guiding. I work for Emerald Water Anglers in Seattle as a guide, shop employee and the women's program director. I have created a popular program here specifically for woman. In the past the sport has been male dominated, but that is quickly changing!  I organize trips, events, schools and casting clinics just for women. It is an incredible thing to see a group of ladies come together to have fun and learn how beautiful the art of fly fishing can be. Scott Rods is a leader in promoting fly fishing for women, their new rods specifically designed for us fisher girls is proof of that. By far my favorite rods to cast.  It is my goal to inspire as many women as possible to get involved in this wonderful sport."

In my short-lived 20 years, I have been fortunate to have traveled and fished more places than one could ask to see in a lifetime. My love for the outdoors began from a very young age when my parents refused to ever let me sit in front of the TV or a computer screen longer than I had to be. I never had a play station or an xbox controller in my hands, but I did have one of the best bass lakes in the south running through my back yard, Lake Austin.

Born and raised in Austin, Texas, I spent every moment I had in the woods trying to get my hands on the most poisonous snakes and spiders I could find, or on my dock staring at my bobber for hours on end even when the fish didn’t want to cooperate. Around the time I came into this world, my father had recently taken up fly fishing, and for my fifth birthday celebrated in Telluride, Colorado, I got my first fly rod; an 8 foot 6 inch Orvis 3 weight, and shortly thereafter I caught my first fish on a fly, a small brookie from the San Miguel. For the years to come, my entire summers were spent all over the west traveling with my father from Colorado to Wyoming to Utah, Idaho and Montana, and fly fishing quickly became a way of life, and a passion which would foster my relationship with my dad far beyond the rivers edge. I remember year after year my father returning from his trips to the Keys and telling me about tarpon and permit and fish I had never seen, I was intrigued to say the least. When I was 9, I was finally introduced to the salt for the first time in Marathon, where I came tight on my first tarpon from a large school of chaining fish. The thrill of a big bass smashing a popper or an airborne rainbow was undeniable, but the rush of something on my line that was bigger than I was opened my eyes to a new world, and since, saltwater has consumed me.

When I was 11, by an act of chance I crossed paths with the former coach of the US Youth Flyfishing Team, John Wilson. Wilson began coaching me in the tactics of competitive angling, and the next year, I attended the World Championships in State College, PA, as an unofficial observer. At 14, I was finally eligible to compete, though again traveled with the team to worlds in the Czech Republic as an unofficial alternate. The next year, 2010, I fished with the team as a competitor at worlds in Slovakia where I finished well enough to earn an individual bronze medal. In 2011, we traveled to worlds in Italy where I individually finished 8th, and for the first time in history the US Youth Team brought home the team gold medal. The next year, I traveled with the team to France, where we took home the team silver medal, and although I had two more years of eligibility I chose to resign to pursue other opportunities.

I am currently a sophomore at the University of Colorado at Boulder pursuing my degree in business with a concentration in adventure tourism business management, though when I am not in school, I enjoy chasing just about anything that swims. When home in Texas, I spend every chance I get running my 17 ft Ankona Native skiff along the central Texas coast in pursuit of primarily redfish, tarpon, jacks, cobia and kingfish. The only thing I love more than coming tight on a big fish myself is sharing my passion with others and guiding friends into the experience of a lifetime.

I have a sister 8 years younger and a brother 6 years younger, who has much to learn, but I am proud to say he’s following in my footsteps, and I cherish every moment on the water with him. Each summer I spend a month or so in the Bay Islands of Honduras working with Flyfish Guanaja, operating a student program with an emphasis on sustainable development, habitat restoration and an introduction to saltwater flyfishing. Next to fishing, my second love is waterfowl and bow hunting, whether it is chasing Rio Grande turkey, wild pigs, and white tails in the Texas hill country, or Merriam’s and bugling bulls in the Rockies, for me it is the only thing that can compare to the sweet sound of a screaming drag.

A love of the outdoors was the driving force behind my fishing history.  My Grandparents had a cabin in the Henry's Fork area of Idaho while I was growing up.  As long as I can remember, my brother and I explored that area top to bottom with either a small spinning rod and some Panther Martins or on an old Honda 90 too heavy to pick up if it fell over.  My fly fishing career didn't start until I was in my 20's.  Once I picked up a fly rod, though, I wanted to pick up another... and another...then a two hander...and so on.

It is still a love of the outdoors that brought me to guiding.  I enjoy working outside and sharing my love of nature with my clients through fishing.  I feel very fortunate to be in this industry along with my husband, Dan Hurzeler.  Together, we have lived and worked in some beautiful country.  And, I've enjoyed fishing a Scott single handed or two handed rod in all of them!

I have been a guide here in Idaho for 15 years, 10 of those years
an outfitter here in McCall.  Fly fishing is an amazing vehicle that
has the ability to take you to places not normally visited. Whether
you’re hiking into high mountain lakes here in Idaho, wading around the
flats of the Seychelle Islands or enjoying a boat ride around Key
West, fly fishing brought you there.

I have been fortunate enough to have hosted trips around the world
fly fishing.  Guiding in Key West for seven years was a great
experience.

The mountains sucked me back in!
Swinging flies for steelhead, teaching the art of spey casting,
floating beautiful rivers and exploring the endless supply of high mtn.
lakes.  After 15 years of guiding I still wake up every morning
excited to get people out and show them things they have never seen.
I’m Excited to be part of the Scott Team.

His Dad's favorite line is "My oldest son, Curt retired right out of college!"  Although not exactly true Curt did move to the Rockies from Texas and continued his outdoor pursuits of fishing, hunting and skiing and somehow has made a living. He will be the first to say it's because of his supportive wife and young daughter that he has continued to guide and ski for 19 years.  He primarily guides the South Fork, Teton and Henrys Fork in the summer along with the Snake River in Wyoming.  In the spring months, he has been hosting trips to the Bahamas fishing for bonefish and in the winters patrolling at Jackson Hole. He is in the pro staff for Clackacraft Drift Boats, Hatch Outdoors, Kaenon Polarized and Howler Bros.  In 2014, Curt was Top Idaho Guide, Jackson Hole One Fly and cohosted Outdoor Channel's, The Obsession of Carter Andrews. He enjoys multi tackle and multi species fishing.

"I enjoy being able to show people a fish that they can see; help them present, hook, catch and land that fish!  Hopefully over the years, people can say that has happened a couple of times anyway!"

Justin wants to live in a world where the streamer bite is always on, every day is a powder day, and the mighty Eagle River flows directly into the salty Yucatan flats.
As a professional fishing guide for Vail Valley Anglers, Justin's been notorious for his customer service and always “fish-hard, guide-even-harder” attitude.
From his Edwards, Colorado home base, he explores the Eagle, Colorado, and Roaring Fork river systems. You can also find him creating original, angling-inspired art, relaxing with his better half Carly and black lab Tess, and without fail - planning the next fishing adventure.
Throughout his guiding career, Scott Fly Rods have been fundamental for his fly fishing evolution, and they continue to deliver the performance and durability he expects from a premium fly rod.
Give him a fast-moving, boulder-filled river, a box full of bird-sized streamers, and his R906/4FB Scott Radian... or a skinny high mountain creek and his 883/4 Scott G2... Or a sandy flat and his 908/4 Scott S4s... and he is loving life.

Dave Jenkin's life has been fly fishing ever since he could remember. As a Colorado native, he grew up fishing extensively across the Front Range. Rocky Mountain National Park was where he found his true home, love and passion as he explored the high country, fishing the small creeks and rivers in the pursuit of solitude. Dave moved to Gunnison, Colorado to attend Western State Colorado University and to explore the legendary waters of the Colorado’s Western Slope. While there, he discovered his calling to be a fly fishing guide, in order to serve as an ambassador for others who wanted to start their own journey into the sport. In the fall of 2014, he moved to Seattle.

His journey so far has led him to explore river in the Olympic Peninsula, the Western Cascades, as well as beaches around the Puget Sound. Dave is constantly pursuing new places, new fish, and new ideas. When he isn't on the river, he is inevitably working hard at the vice tying new patterns and coming up with innovative ideas. Over the years, Dave has had the privilege of fishing in Colorado, Minnesota, Montana, Wyoming, and now Washington. He is proud to call himself a member of the team at The Avid Angler Fly Shop in Washington, as well a member Scott’s Pro Staff.

Growing up in Bellevue, Washington, Anthony always found any opportunity to fish on his home waters of Lake Washington. Anthony started fishing when he was three, and he first discovered fly fishing when he was nine. That same year, he also started taking tying classes, and fly tying has remained one of Anthony’s passions. Anthony decided to attend Central Washington University so that he could be near the Yakima River, and he graduated with a biology degree in 2015. While in college, Anthony found a home, and became the head guide for the Worley Bugger Fly Company in 2014. He guides primarily for trout on the upper Yakima; however, he can also be found throughout the Columbia basin guiding for warm-water species.  With the Worley Bugger, Anthony had led river clean ups and other community outreach events.
Anthony fishes over 200 days a year, whether guiding clients or sharing his passion with friends and family. Anthony also organizes annual trips to Yakutat, Alaska, and he enjoys cooking the salmon he brings back for his family. Anthony also loves to fish for northern pike in Minnesota, but really, he will fish anywhere with anyone, as long as they are happy to be on the water.
