Pete has spent his entire life in the mountains of Montana and Idaho. His trout chasing career began on the waters of Central Idaho. Pete then moved to Montana in 2001 to discover other fishing opportunities and attend college at the University of Montana. He devoted 10 years of his guiding career to the broad range of waters found in Western Montana and the Missouri River.
After a lifetime obsession with tailwater and technical spring creek fishing, Pete made a move in 2012 and became the co-owner of the Bighorn Angler on the Bighorn River in Eastern MT. He currently is managing an overseas fly tying operation throughout the season while balancing full time guiding and shop work.
When not trying to stay sane in the metropolis of Fort smith, MT, Pete enjoys swinging dry line bugs for fall steelhead and hunting waterfowl with his friend and shop dog Ruby. Pete has an extensive collection of original Scott G series rods and thinks Scott has crafted some of the finest tools of the Angling trade. Best rod ever? – Scott G 884-3. Best new rod ever? – Scott Radian 904-4
