A self-admitted steelhead junkie, Jeff Liskay has been chasing chrome for nearly four decades. From his home base in northern Ohio, Liskay has fished across the entire Great Lakes and is now reaching into Alaska, Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia. He is gaining recognition for his two-hand casting and fishing skills and is a regular on the Spey gathering circuit as both and observing and a presenter.
He spends the warmer months prowling Great Lakes shoreline areas chasing warm-water species on the fly, but as soon as the weather cools, steelhead take over. Liskay gives many club and show programs, guides on Ohio’s Lake Erie tribs, and does many instructional programs. He is a talented fly tier- his creations are generally simple, functional, fish catchers.

His favorite rods are the T3h 1357/4 with a 520 grain skagit or 400 grain scandi line and the S4S 9010/4 for working big water.
