I'm just nuts for the slow-motion bulge of a block-headed trout tipping back on a 2X hopper drifting down a narrow sliver of desert shade. I loose sleep over the startling yank or the curious thump of any steelhead on the swing, and I've shed many tears as cold goodness runs down the inside of my waders via the combination of releasing fish and careless beer placement. I think fishing hats, fishing to spawners, and low-holing other anglers is for yahoos. Besides a passion for fly fishing and many other kinds of outside multi-sport enthusiasm, I'm an accidental photographer, self taught filmmaker, and part time guide. As a kid I tagged along salmon & steelhead rivers from rain forests of the Oregon coast, as a teen I explored the volcanic mountain lakes and high desert tail waters of Central Oregon, and ever since call the variety of steep rivers, dark timber, and chaparral desert around Boise, Idaho home. I'm grateful that my wife is my best friend, my 230K Mi Toyota runs great, and for my dream job handling media and marketing for Silver Creek Outfitters of Ketchum Idaho.
My name is Bryan Huskey and I love the feel of a great fly rod loading from its tip down to my hand. I'm proud to be a part of the Scott Fly Rod team.
