Australia, Camperdown

I started fishing about 2 days after I started walking, my whole family fished that’s just what we did. I grew up in a small town only minutes away from two of Australia’s best trout lakes, in Camperdown Victoria.
I got the fly-fishing bug at about age 15 but knew no one that fly fished so I had to teach myself and I had to learn how to tie flies as well.
Started tying flies commercially in 1991 and it has been my major source of income since. Developing unique fly patterns requires many fishing hours to test their effectiveness and Scott fly rods have been used as the tool for presenting these new patterns over my fly fishing career.
I will throw a fly at any fish, don’t care what species, any fish that eats a fly is a good fish but my two real loves are dry fly fishing on small streams and wet fly fishing in the local estuaries.
I write the Estuary Essentials column in the Fly Fisher Magazine and have contributed a number of stories for other magazines. I have almost finished my first book and have just finished filming my first fly tying DVD.
It is a great honour to be accepted as a Scott pro staff member and the easiest position I have been given, it’s easy to talk and promote about the worlds best fly rods!
