Moose spends countless hours on the water, and in the field. He is a year round fishing, and hunting guide. Based out of Gunnison, he has limitless opportunities for angling in every direction. Moose has over 12 years of guide experience from fly fishing, wingshooting, waterfowling, and big game, as well as a wealth of knowledge from his years at the Scott Fly Rod factory.
Whether guiding on foot or from a boat, he places a strong emphasis on instruction and technique to keep anglers from getting stale. Tailwaters, freestones, small backcountry creeks, stillwaters, and big lakes all get targeted by his clients. He fishes from raft, dory, or powerboat depending on the season, and is one of the few dedicated anglers to target the pike on Taylor Park Reservoir with fly. Also, he has a great passion for swinging soft hackles on switch rods and smaller sized 2 handers—a wonderful way to fish that is too often overlooked by the indicator crowd…

Most summer days find him floating the Gunnison, and he is always putting his Scott rods through the paces. His favorite rods are the S4905/4 and the G2884/4 for trout fishing, and the S4S908/4, and S4S909/4 for northern pike.
