I was born in San Mateo California, and started fishing when I was 2 years old. As a young boy, I remember seeing a picture in a magazine of a man fly-casting, and that picture sparked a desire to learn the sport. Years later I received a fly rod from a girlfriend. I’ve been Chasing fish all over since…she’s long gone.
Fly-fishing has taken me to places such as New Zealand, the Bahamas, Alaska (Where I guided as well), and coast to coast in the states. As a shop employee in my hometown of Chico in Northern California, and as a guide, Fly Fishing has introduced me to lots of great people I may have never crossed paths with otherwise. My passion these days revolves around teaching others, developing flies as a signature tier for Idylwilde, and learning something new every time I hit the water.
