Jeff was born with an obsessive passion for fishing. He spent countless hours streamside honing his skills while trying to figure out ways to fly-fish for a living. Jeff has acquired an unparalleled knowledge of the spectacular Yakima River, its entomology and aquatic habitat. His love of the outdoors keeps him a field approx 250 days a year both fishing and hunting. Jeff has guided professionally on the Yakima River for Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout, as well as Smallmouth Bass.
The Articulate Angler also has a tent camp hosting ambitious anglers looking to chase Steelhead on both the Klickitat and Methow Rivers. Providing guide services, overnight accommodations, and five star foods with some of the regions best wines.
Jeff believes, “In order to be a great guide, you must first be a good teacher.” Jeff prides himself in this characteristic of fishing and is always refining his own education so he may teach others. Jeff’s vast knowledge and passion drives him to inform and excite all ages about the sport of fly-fishing. Jeff has taught Central Washington University students taking elective fly-fishing courses, he has taught fly tying courses to all ages of the general public, and gives individual lessons ranging from novice to advanced.
