Charity lives in Townsend, Tennessee only minutes from hundreds of miles of trout streams in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. As a partner in R&R Fly Fishing Smoky Mountain Guide Service she is on the water several days a week. Charity is always excited to show her home waters to her many clients and takes special pleasure helping anglers catch their first trout on fly. Charity also floats several of Tennessee's famed tailwater rivers where she is likely to be found casting large streamers for trophy browns. Charity also spends plenty of time on the water every year outside of Southern Appalachia. She hosts fly fishing trips to destinations in the Rockies and Belize. She loves spending time on the water with her husband Ian and their daughter Willow.

Charitys photography appears in Great Smoky Mountains National Park Anglers Companion and Tennessee Trout Waters Blue Ribbon Guide. Her latest book is Rise Rings & Rhododendron - Fly Fishing the Streams and Tailwaters of Southern Appalachia. Her photos have also appeared in many national fly fishing magazines.
Charity appears as a host on the DVD series Fly Fishing Eastern Freestone Streams - Catching The Grand Slam

With her graphic design experience combined with her fly fishing expertise, she is able to combine her passions to create logos and print materials for various groups in the fly fishing industry, including fly fishing guides, fly shops, fly fishing organizations and the National Park Service.

Charity is extremely active in Trout Unlimited and serves on the board of the Little River Chapter in East Tennessee. She has worked closely with fisheries biologists in the Smokies on native brook trout restoration projects as well as annual trout population surveys of her home waters. She was one of the organizers of the annual Townsend TroutFest which benefits fisheries research in the Great Smoky Mountains. Charity is also a casting instructor and coordinator for Casting for Recovery, a fly fishing program for breast cancer survivors.
