John Donnell is a legendary Keys captain who has been called "The Babe Ruth of Angling" by close friend Flip Pallot. He has fished southern Florida for his entire life and guided the Keys full time for fourteen years. Donnell is an experienced tournament angler, and has guided more Redbone Champions than any other captain. His sincere love of the sport and deep respect for the Florida Keys give John a magnetic fly fishing personality.
Donnell sums up his love of guiding; "Fishing the flats…the variety of species and methods…is just so exciting. Seeing a customer catch his or her first bonefish on a fly is a real thrill. You feel like you helped them accomplish what, to them, had seemed like an insurmountable goal. And, over the years, so many have become friends.
